Our 30 year old Trane AC & furnace were nearing the end of life and had limped along for the past couple of years. We decided it was time to replace them, and after receiving quotes from several companies, Yard stood out. Not only from the quality products offered, but also their customer service. George was fantastic to work with. He answered all our questions and really crunched the numbers to get us the best units for the best price. This included Federal, Ameren, & CWLP rebates/credits which saved quite a bit. The units arrived in less than a week and the installation crew did a great job. They wore shoe coverings, left the work area spotless after completion, and thoroughly explained new thermostat/humidifier settings. I recently purchased a new HVAC system from Matthew Yard and George Yard. I wasn't planning on purchasing a new system but I found myself in a situation that it was necessary. My story starts out myself having an HVAC issue that I couldn't do myself. Yard Heating and Cooling came out and evaluated my old system. It was repairable but the cost would of been so high that a newer system install would be more cost effective in the long run. Matthew Yard gave me a quote and George Yard was kind enough to come out and talk to me in person about my options. The great thing about working with George and Matthew is they straight shorters and are willing to listen to myself and understand what would be best for my scenario. I decided to go with a Trane XV18 Heat Pump 4 Ton unit with propane furnace backup. Matthew and his team worked out a timeline that they were available. Within a week, they were out and installed the new unit. This is my first heat pump and I am excited to try it out! Very good customer service. AC was not working and temperature outside was 96 degrees. I called late afternoon, and they were willing to come out for emergency service. I chose to wait until the next day. The service rep called to tell me he was running behind. When he arrived, he diagnosed the issue and made necessary repair. The total time was less than 24 hours. I called at 7:40 in the morning for service on my A/C unit. They arrive within the hour. Jeremy was able to diagnose my issue very quickly and what it would cost to repair the unit which was very reasonable. Jeremy took the time to not only fix the issue but also check the complete operation of the unit and give tips on how to do some preventative measures to keep it operating properly.
