Our AC was on its last legs, so we called Yard Heating and Cooling to get it fixed. Matthew Yard came over and looked at our old unit. He was able to fix it, even though we needed to replace it. He gave us six different quotes, so we could choose one that fit our budget. He also gave us some helpful brochures to read. After we decided on a system, his team came over the next Monday and installed it. They finished by the end of the day. The two guys who installed it were really nice and explained everything to us. These folks. Man. I'm dumb about caring for my system, plus it's a dinosaur. I realize "Oops, it's cold" (or hot. They've saved my a/c as well), and they're out here pronto assessing, temp fixing if they can, or doing the repair as soon as parts show. I've called after hours, and I understand there's higher charges at night. Don't gripe about it. The Yard crew is worth every penny. And even if those charges are included, dang, are they fair with their pricing. I was wringing my hands, expecting to have to sell a kidney, and the bill shocked me. When I called to pay, I almost felt I should ask if that included everything and putting up with my whining. I just paid. Why look a gift horse in the mouth. We're lucky around here to have several companies that do good hvac work. I've just fallen in with Yard the last few years. I can now be one of these guys who can say, "Hey, I got a guy for that." We had a possessed furnace that required constant attention and eventually needed to purchase a replacement. Everyone at Yard Heating & Cooling were super helpful and professional from the service calls to the new furnace and installation. Would highly recommend them for all your heating and cooling needs. Our 30 year old Trane AC & furnace were nearing the end of life and had limped along for the past couple of years. We decided it was time to replace them, and after receiving quotes from several companies, Yard stood out. Not only from the quality products offered, but also their customer service. George was fantastic to work with. He answered all our questions and really crunched the numbers to get us the best units for the best price. This included Federal, Ameren, & CWLP rebates/credits which saved quite a bit. The units arrived in less than a week and the installation crew did a great job. They wore shoe coverings, left the work area spotless after completion, and thoroughly explained new thermostat/humidifier settings.
