Our 30 year old Trane AC & furnace were nearing the end of life and had limped along for the past couple of years. We decided it was time to replace them, and after receiving quotes from several companies, Yard stood out. Not only from the quality products offered, but also their customer service. George was fantastic to work with. He answered all our questions and really crunched the numbers to get us the best units for the best price. This included Federal, Ameren, & CWLP rebates/credits which saved quite a bit. The units arrived in less than a week and the installation crew did a great job. They wore shoe coverings, left the work area spotless after completion, and thoroughly explained new thermostat/humidifier settings. We contacted Yard Heating & cooling for a quote to replace our aging & failing HVAC system. They were very quick to respond and setup consultation for next day. George Yard, the owner himself, provided 3 options within a few hours of his site visit. He explained each option and its benefits. He had most of the equipment in stock and was able to get the rest of the parts to install within 24 hours. Jason and Michael arrived to do the install. I recently purchased a new HVAC system from Matthew Yard and George Yard. I wasn't planning on purchasing a new system but I found myself in a situation that it was necessary. My story starts out myself having an HVAC issue that I couldn't do myself. Yard Heating and Cooling came out and evaluated my old system. It was repairable but the cost would of been so high that a newer system install would be more cost effective in the long run. Matthew Yard gave me a quote and George Yard was kind enough to come out and talk to me in person about my options. The great thing about working with George and Matthew is they straight shorters and are willing to listen to myself and understand what would be best for my scenario. I decided to go with a Trane XV18 Heat Pump 4 Ton unit with propane furnace backup. Matthew and his team worked out a timeline that they were available. Within a week, they were out and installed the new unit. This is my first heat pump and I am excited to try it out! It has only been four days since the installation of my garage min-split system, so I can only comment on the consultation and installation. George was very thorough on the consult. He came out and measured my garage area, looked at the outdoor placement options and the breaker box. He gave me a quote within a day or two. I immediately trusted him (rare for me). I waited several weeks before ordering as I had matters to clean up (the garage itself and financially). When I ordered and gave the ok, his team was out 2 days later to install. It only took them 3.5 hour or so, and was done very professionally with no mess to clean up. As I type this in my garage, it is 71 degrees in here and 42 outdoors! I seem to be done buying and hauling propane tanks in frigid weather. Very Satisfied! Read Less
